The 5th Kinder+Sport Kidathon

Hong Kong’s 5th Kinder+Sport welcomed 1,500 kids and parents into the #joyofmoving!
 

The 5th Kinder+Sport Kidathon was held at Hong Kong Tamar Park on Jan 13 to encourage children to develop attitudes of persistence and perseverance through the enjoyment of physical sports. The event was attended by 1,500 Kids and Parents. Hong Kong athletes and celebrity parents also joined the run and inspired children to adopt an active lifestyle without the interference of electronic gadgets.

Ms. Stephanie Au, Hong Kong’s Olympic swimmer, joined us to share with families her tips on the #joyofmoving, and encouraged children to have fun in sports and outdoor activities. She shared, “When participating in sports, you can have a lot of fun. At the same time, you can be exposed to good human qualities and sportsmanship”.

This year Kinder+Sport has featured categories for kids aged 4-14, including: Kids Fun Run, Kids Relay and the main highlight, the Family Run. In addition to the race, the event incorporated a variety of fun sporting game booths. The sporting game booths managed to attract many members of the public to come and have fun with their families. All registration fees were donated to our adopted charity, the ‘Sports for Youth Foundation’. The donation totaled ,132 and will be spent for sporting development for the youth.

The exciting event gained coverage from 136 key media platforms – 123 online publications, 11 newspapers and 3 broadcast on TV, which translated into a total media value of USD.6M (+8% vs LY).
