ISF Triathlon World Schools Championship 2017
One word to define the 3rd ISF Triathlon World Schools Championship 2017: endurance!
From the 6th to the 12th of June 2017 we’ve been n Aracuju (Brazil) along with 150 boys and girls from around the world aged 14-18. They swam, cycled, and ran surrounded by the beautiful Brazilian environment.
Promoted by the International School Sport Federation (ISF), with the seal of the Brazilian Confederation of School Sports (CBDE) and the Sergipe Federation of School Sports (FSDE), the event involved hundreds of people in the logistic aspects to support the event: from the reception of the delegations at Aracaju Airport, to the "Festa das Nações" - the cultural meeting - where each country had the opportunity to share some of its culture, cuisine and traditions.
After the two intense days of competition, the athletes gathered at the edge of the beach of Atalaia, and participated in a great exciting moment of great environmental relevance: the release of sea turtles, preserved by the Tamar Project, which also added to the accomplishment of the event.
All the athletes gave their best making the Championship a great opportunity to prove themselves and learn something about the world they live in.
