Kinder+Sport Tennis Trophy 2017
9 countries, 20 tournaments, 1 big trophy.
These are the numbers of the Kinder+Sport Tennis Trophy, the first junior international tennis tournament organized by Sports Events in collaboration with the Italian Tennis Federation (FIT) and Kinder+Sport: a Europe-wide tournament that involves players from Austria, Bulgaria, Germany, Israel, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, the Principality of Monaco, and Hungary.
Boys and girls aged 9-16 will all play in their own countries, and the winners from each one will face each other in the International Master in Rome (Italy) from August the 25th to the 30th.
The initiative is an idea by tennis pro Rita Grande, Italian former champion, in collaboration with Kinder Joy of moving, aimed at boosting active lifestyles and spreading this sport discipline amongst the new generations. An event born in Italy, which already counted 28 tournaments and 3,000 subscribers in its first edition in 2006, and has been growing steadily in time; the eleventh edition in 2016 boasted 141 tournaments in 19 Italian regions and more than 18,000 subscribers. For the first time this year, the tournament expands to the international circuit, in order to develop and spread with an even bigger focus the core values of the Kinder+Sport project, such as trust in oneself and in others, integration, friendship and respect.
What makes this tournament different from the others is that the players are going to play without umpires, and the young athletes will have the possibility to enjoy themselves and give their very best while guided by a highly educational fair play code.
