Last weekend, on the fields of Centro Tecnico Federale FIT in Castel di Sangro, Italy, the 10th ISF Tennis World Schools Championship took place.
On the 2nd of June, 109 young athletes coming from all over the world had an unforgettable week in the name of Joy of moving, a big opportunity to live unique days with fun and movement and to create authentic relationships.
This 2019 edition hosted 10 girls and 12 boys teams, aged 15-18, coming from 12 Countries in 3 different continents: Australia, Chile, China, United Arab Emirates, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Netherlands, Scotland, Taiwan and Turkey.
The event, organized by ISF- International Schools Sport Federation in collaboration with Kinder Joy of moving, promoted the meeting and the sports competition among schools at a global level, encouraging the spread of school sports among young people. Moreover, it was a very special occasion to celebrate once again the values shared by the two realities: fair play, friendship, integration, together to an active lifestyle full of joy.
To honor these values, the Fair Play Joy of moving Trophy will be awarded to the team that will best represent the principles of fair play.
The programme envisaged the arrival of the delegations on Sunday 2 June, while the official Opening Ceremony was held on Monday 3 June with an inaugural parade in the fascinating historical context of Castel di Sangro, the "Abruzzo gate".
Celebration moments will culminate on June 5 with the Cultural Day, with the visit to the Abruzzo National Park and the Nations Night, organized to encourage cultural exchanges between delegations.
The finals will be held Saturday 8 June, to end to end with the Closing and medals Ceremony at the Municipal Stadium “T. Patini” of Castel di Sangro or, in case of bad weather, in the Sports Hall.
Kinder Joy of moving will be at the Kinder+Sport Village with its trainers, to make all participants and their families live moments of play and fun.
