Joy of moving spreads far and wide

Kinder+Sport Summer Camps have enlivened the summer of many children in different countries and different continents. In Italy, India and France, the innovative Joy of moving method inspires events at the Summer Camps, where children and young people are encouraged to develop their motor activities together with their cognitive and social skills. The Joy of moving method was developed by Kinder+Sport in collaboration with the "Foro Italico" University in Rome, the Regional Italian Olympic Committee (CONI), Miur, the City of Alba and Soremartec.

The principle is based on the development of children's social and motor skills through engaging and challenging activities. Children are taught to practice unusual and diverse disciplines, such as badminton, slicklining and skateboard. Different experiences to enrich children's minds, as well as their bodies.

This summer, different camps were held in countries as distant from each other as France and India – yet the principles remain the same.

In India, the Baramati Summer Camp welcomed more than 400 children. 18 local instructors and four Italian trainers follow the Joy of moving method for an intense week of sports and physical activities, including volleyball, football, basket and badminton. At the end of each day, children watch replays on video.

In France Le Village Kinder practiced the Joy of moving method for the first time. During its Summer Camp, 150 children have already been introduced to the method in the beautiful surroundings of Temple-sur-Lot.

And in Italy, in the year of the Rio Olympics, Summer Camps have been led by great Olympic champions and sports personalities such as Carlton Myers, Fiona May, Jury Chechi, Dan Peterson providing many lucky children with an unforgettable experience!
