Tennis Trophy ninth edition

The Kinder Joy of moving Tennis Trophy is back: welcome to the ninth edition!

The Kinder Joy of moving Tennis Trophy returns with its ninth edition, bringing the joy of movement, friendship, inclusion, and fair play to the court. A unique tournament that has been involving thousands of young tennis enthusiasts for years in an experience that goes beyond competition.

The trophy is organized and promoted by Kinder Joy of moving, the Ferrero Group's social responsibility project. Launched in 2005, the project has already engaged more than 60 million children. In the last year alone, it has involved over 3.4 million children in 34 countries around the world to get active, enjoy moving, and develop life skills in an engaging and joyful way.
With the support of local federations, the trophy will be held in Italy, France, Poland, Luxembourg, Austria, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Cape Verde, Greece, and Switzerland. Local tournaments will run through October, while the finals of the tournament will take place at the International Master in November, which will be held for the sixth consecutive year at the Rafa Nadal Academy in Mancor, Spain.

The tournament involves girls and boys aged 9 to 12. Various stages in Italy and France, as well as at the International Master, will also be dedicated to young athletes in wheelchairs, confirming the commitment to an inclusive sport open to all.

More than a trophy, the Kinder Joy of moving Tennis Trophy is a joyful experience: the trophy is organized to be an unforgettable opportunity for young players and their families to team up and have fun – on and off the tennis court. But that's not all: shifting the focus from performance to fun, and from competition to collaboration, the tournament centers on the positive values of sport such as friendship, relationships, inclusion, fair play, respect, and personal growth.
A distinctive feature of the Kinder Joy of moving Tennis Trophy is the absence of referees: players are called to make decisions independently, thus fostering the development of a sense of responsibility and judgment. This approach not only values fair play and relationships with others but also strengthens self-confidence.

The participants are called to play according to the guidelines of the Fair Play Code, a set of principles and values that promote loyalty, respect, fair play, and the appreciation of fun and personal commitment, rather than competitive results. The awarding of the Fair Play Trophy at each local stage and during the International Master is a recurring moment that celebrate and reward these values.

In all the countries where the trophy is held, there are also moments of meeting and sharing thanks to Open Days, opportunities to engage families and children and to promote an approach to sport in a fun and inclusive way. In addition to classic individual challenges, mixed matches, parent-child games, and other formats are planned to make tennis an increasingly open and participatory sport.

Every year, internationally renowned tennis players, former players, and coaches embrace the values of this initiative, promoting it also through their presence during the various local stages, which further enriches the experience of the young athletes, who can meet and engage with their legends.

The Kinder Joy of moving Tennis Trophy was created in 2006 from an idea by professional tennis player Rita Grande, a former Italian champion, in collaboration with Kinder Joy of moving and the support of local Tennis Foundations.
