Skiri Trophy Xcountry 2018

Skiri Trophy Xcountry 2018

The Skiri Trophy XCountry is back to Val di Fiemme!

Everything is ready for the 35th edition, that will take place on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st of January. More than an international competition: a real occasion to promote all the values that Kinder+Sport supports with its activities: integration among participants, physical movement, learning and friendship, with the creation of bonds that last forever.

The Skiri Throphy, once known as Trofeo Topolino, was launched in 1983 by the Gruppo Sportivo di Fiemme, with the purpose of creating an event for young cross country skiers. Four categories race with classic cross country rules: Baby (ages 8 to 9), Cuccioli(10 to 11), Ragazzi (12 to 13) and Allievi (over 13). The Trophy can be truly considered as an open junior world championship, and it’s certified by the Italian Ski Federation. Every year the event recalls some of the greatest international names of cross country skiing, making each edition a sporting feast of passion and solidarity.

Not only a cross country championship: all young athletes can have fun in the Kinder+Sport Village with a unique entertainment program, with a mascotte and many activities directed by trainers. The program is rich of initiatives: the first categories to race will be Baby and Cuccioli, followed by male and female skiers. Then will be the celebrated Skiri Trophy Revival, a race that since 2008 brings back winners of past competitions, now adults. Sunday January 21st the Ragazzi and Allievi will race with strong and positive competitive spirit.

Friendship, fun, integration and of course Joy of moving: these are the keywords of the Skiri Trophy XCountry!
