The Kinder Joy of moving Tennis Trophy celebrates tenth edition
The Kinder Joy of moving Tennis Trophy reaches its tenth edition in 2026, standing out as the only international tournament for young players where fun, friendship, inclusion, and respect come before results. More than a traditional competition, it is a unique experience where girls and boys can grow through sport, learn to work as a team, and discover the joy of being active together.
The initiative is part of Kinder Joy of moving, an international Ferrero Group and Kinder Social Responsibility Project conceived to naturally promote the involvement of children and families in physical activity and sport in an engaging and joyful way. Launched in 2005, it has already involved more than 63 million children worldwide, promoting movement as a way to develop life skills and self-confidence. In the past year alone, over 3.7 million children in 35 countries participated in Kinder Joy of moving activities.
In 2026, the Kinder Joy of moving Tennis Trophy will take place once again in Italy, France, Poland, Luxembourg, Austria, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Cape Verde, Switzerland and Greece, offering a shared international pathway for young athletes, and in most cases, with the support of local tennis federations.
The season begins with local tournaments from March to October, culminating in the International Master, scheduled from 2 to 5 November 2026, which will be hosted at the Rafa Nadal Academy in Manacor, Spain. For the seventh consecutive year, this prestigious venue will host the finals, combining sporting excellence with educational values.
The tournament is open to girls and boys aged 9 to 12, and provides a supportive environment where they can grow as players and individuals. Inclusion remains a priority: selected stages in Italy and France, together with the International Master, will feature competitions for young wheelchair players, ensuring the event is open to all.
More than a trophy, the Kinder Joy of moving Tennis Trophy is a joyful experience.
It is designed for young athletes and their families to enjoy together, combining fun, teamwork, and participation. By prioritizing collaboration over performance, the tournament helps children form friendships and embrace values such as respect, inclusion, fair play, and self-confidence.
A distinctive feature of the competition is that matches are self-officiated, meaning players make their own calls on court, developing responsibility, honesty, and mutual respect. Participants follow the Fair Play Code, which emphasizes positive behavior, commitment, and enjoyment of the game. At every local tournament and at the International Master, the Fair Play Trophy is awarded to celebrate those who best represent these values.
Several of the participating countries also organize Open Days and special activities that involve families beyond the competitive matches. Mixed games, parent-child challenges, and alternative formats make tennis more inclusive and participatory, turning the tournament into a celebration of movement and shared experiences.
The initiative is supported by internationally renowned tennis players, former professionals, and coaches, who participate in selected stages and promote the tournament’s values, giving young athletes the opportunity to meet inspiring role models.
The Kinder Joy of moving Tennis Trophy was created in 2006 from an idea by former Italian professional tennis player Rita Grande, in collaboration with Kinder Joy of moving and local tennis foundations. Ten editions later, the tournament continues to be an international benchmark for sport that educates, includes, and inspires.
